Jeni Shull Clayton, M.D., M.P.H., is a Family and Preventive Medicine Physician, a Diplomat of the American and International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Clayton graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. She attended Loma Linda University’s Family and Preventive Medicine residency, located within the only Blue Zone in the United States. There she served as chief resident and completed her Master’s in Population Health. She was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year and the Will Alexander Whole Person Care Award. Under Dr. John Kelly, one of the founders of ACLM, she became the first Lifestyle Medicine Fellow at the Black Hills Health and Education Center. She served as a co-author and editor of the Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Manuel and Course from 2017 to 2025 and has been a faculty for the Reversing Diabetes and Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum. Dr. Clayton has led teams in making lifestyle medicine the foundation of practice at employer wellness, occupational medicine, traditional family medicine clinics. Currently, she leads the lifestyle medicine clinic at Community Health in Indiana. She enjoys being outdoors, collecting fresh cut flowers, and gardening with her husband, daughter, and 3 cats.
