Dr. Sarah Schuetz is the founder of My Lifestyle Doc and an internal medicine physician and lifestyle medicine expert dedicated to helping individuals prevent, treat, and even reverse chronic disease through sustainable, evidence-based habits. Dr. Schuetz has long been passionate about nutrition, earning both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in dietetics before pursuing a career in medicine. She began her medical career in primary care and went on to serve as a Primary Care Program Director at the University of Kentucky. Today, she works closely with patients, at My Lifestyle Doc, to improve their health by focusing on the six pillars of lifestyle medicine. A dedicated educator, Dr. Schuetz co-hosts The Starting Gate podcast with fellow lifestyle medicine physician Dr. Katherine Dotson. Together, they have produced over 70 episodes with a shared mission to bring better health to the Bluegrass region by translating complex medical science into practical, actionable strategies for everyday life. Known for her relatable and empowering approach, Dr. Schuetz helps audiences cut through health misinformation and build realistic routines that lead to lasting change. Through her clinical work, speaking engagements, consulting, and media presence, she is part of a growing movement redefining healthcare—shifting the focus from reactive treatment to proactive, whole-person wellness.
