The pharmacist is one of the most accessible members of the healthcare team, often serving their communities not only by providing medications and medication management services, but also serving as a trusted health professional. All six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine, physical activity, whole-food, plant-based eating, sleep, social connection, refraining from harmful substances, and managing stress can and should be included in comprehensive medication management services. Emerging research on the operationalization of Lifestyle Medicine within the community pharmacy will be presented along with strategies of systematic inclusion of the lifestyle medicine patient assessment. A current project to be highlighted is the development and distribution of online training modules covering all six pillars along with the application to pharmacy clinical and operational factors. This session will provide innovative and creative approaches for using community pharmacy as a platform for lifestyle medicine clinical care.
