The Medicine-Rehab-Fitness (MRF) Institute is an education, consulting, and medical fitness organization focused on bridging the gap between healthcare, rehabilitation, and fitness. Its mission is to integrate evidence-based exercise—especially progressive resistance training—into healthcare as a core component of prevention, treatment, and long-term disease management. The institute works with healthcare providers and systems to design safe, effective exercise models for patients with chronic and musculoskeletal conditions, while equipping clinicians to confidently prescribe and refer patients to qualified exercise professionals. In addition to education and consulting, MRF offers virtual medical fitness programs led by highly trained exercise specialists, providing individualized, clinically aligned support for patients beginning and progressing in structured exercise. The organization also partners with health systems, medical practices, and employers to build integrated fitness pathways that extend care beyond clinical settings. Led by Jeff Young and Dr. Andrew Mock, the MRF Institute combines expertise in medicine and exercise science to make exercise a standard, scalable part of modern healthcare.
