Dr. Kathleen Findlay received MD and MPH degrees from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed a Family Medicine residency in the US Army and served a total of 7 years on active duty. Dr. Findlay also spent 7 years teaching public health for Liberty University. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Findlay is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Board of Integrative Medicine, and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She recently completed a Master of Health Care Delivery Science degree from Dartmouth College. She practices at Western Wisconsin Health, a rural health clinic and critical access hospital where she serves as Medical Director of the Lifestyle Medicine Program, the Chief of Staff, and Medical Director of Employee Health and Infection Prevention.
Dr. Findlay has a passion for rural health transformation. The Lifestyle Medicine team that she leads has created a Lifestyle Medicine Shared Medical Appointment Model that is sustainable within a rural health clinic and has proven to be incredibly responsive to the needs of the rural communities that Western Wisconsin Health serves. As an advocate for Lifestyle Medicine and Rural Health, Dr. Findlay has increasing involvement in regional and national initiatives to expand the reach of Lifestyle Medicine in the rural setting. Her enthusiasm and expertise has resulted in numerous speaking invitations across these sectors.
