Dr. Vollmer is a graduate of MSU-College of Human Medicine. She is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist who trained at UCLA-VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare system program and is fellowship trained in Interventional Spine at the University of Michigan. In 2020, she became board certified in Lifestyle Medicine and began working collaboratively with Corewell Health in their new Lifestyle Medicine specialty practice. She continues to provide physiatry care at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. She has been voted a Grand Rapids top doctor consecutive years since 2019. She is currently the faculty advisor for the Mary Free Bed and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Lifestyle Medicine Interest Groups and has started a Lifestyle Medicine elective with the medical students. She has served as the national chair of the Fitness in Medicine Lifestyle Medicine member interest group. Most recently, she was recognized by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine as a Lifestyle Medicine Intensivist in 2024 and a Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine in 2025.
