Dr. Gulati is a triple board-certified physician in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, as well as internal medicine, and a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She is an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. She directs the UConn Health lifestyle medicine endocrinology service line, including lifestyle medicine shared medical appointments as well as serves as the chief Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group clinical faculty advisor for medical students. She is the Lifestyle Medicine curriculum director for Endocrinology fellowship, as well as the curriculum co-director for the Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Pharmacy residencies. Dr. Gulati was elected and served on the Board of Directors at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) from November 2022 till November 2025. She was nominated to the ACLM's executive committee by ACLM President and served as a member of the committee from 2023-2024. She was the founding chair of the ACLM’s Endocrinology member interest group, and now serves as its co-chair. She currently serves on the research committee and marketing and communications committee of the ACLM. She was nominated by the ACLM President to the ACLM's GLP-1 task force as well as the nutrition messaging task force. She holds the distinction of being both a Fellow of American College of Lifestyle Medicine as well as Fellow of American College of Endocrinology. She has been an invited speaker at over 50 regional, national, international conferences, as well as published several journal articles and textbook chapters on both endocrine and lifestyle medicine topics. She is the corresponding author of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine’s multidisciplinary comprehensive clinical practice guidelines on “Lifestyle Interventions for Treatment and Remission of Type 2 Diabetes and Prediabetes in Adults” published in June 2025. She also serves on the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE)'s clinical practice guidelines oversight committee.
