Dr. Hazel Anderson, PT, DPT, DSc, DipACLM, is an Associate Professor in the residential Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas. Originally from Zimbabwe, she earned her Physiotherapy degree from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland and completed her Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Science at Texas Tech University. She has clinical experience across acute care and outpatient settings and is committed to interprofessional, holistic, patient-centered care. Her teaching and scholarship focus on integrating lifestyle medicine into physical therapy education and clinical practice, with particular emphasis on women’s health across the lifespan. She has presented nationally across academic, clinical, and wellness settings and is a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a professional member of the National Academies of Practice.
