Dr. John Findley is the former Chief Medical Officer of the Heartland Whole Health Institute, founded by philanthropist Alice Walton, where he led initiatives to improve outcomes, reduce costs, and expand access to whole-person health care across the Heartland.
With more than two decades of clinical and executive experience, Dr. Findley has advanced value-based care and population health in leadership roles including President of Bryan Health Connect, a physician–hospital organization representing more than 2,000 providers and 25 hospitals; Medical Director for Caravan Health, a national leader in Accountable Care Organization development; Chief Medical Officer and Interim CEO at a rural community hospital; and physician consultant for Planetree International, a global leader in patient-centered care. He also founded LifeWoRx, a clinic-based lifestyle medicine program promoting sustainable, whole-person wellness.
A lifelong marathoner and advocate for lifestyle medicine, Dr. Findley often says, “Take a walk, not a pill,” reflecting his belief that movement, prevention, and purpose are essential to long-term health. He earned his MD from Creighton University, completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Colorado, and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and mathematics from Regis University.
