Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University
Hamden, Connecticut, United States
Alayna Santarosa is a third-year medical student at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine in Connecticut. Before matriculation she obtained her MPH and co-authored five peer-reviewed journal publications detailing novel therapeutic strategies for rare lymphoma subtypes at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Having worked closely with vulnerable patients from all walks of life, she is committed to reimagining care standards to bridge cutting edge medicine and underserved communities. As a Choosing Wisely STARS student leader, she champions value-based care through local initiatives designed to connect underinsured patients with free and low-cost primary care resources.
Alayna is honored to present this pilot study at LM2025, illustrating how early integration of lifestyle medicine into preclinical education cultivates clinicians equipped to deliver holistic, preventive care to populations facing chronic disease epidemics. She and her team look forward to partnering with colleagues to refine and scale this curriculum innovation to advance 21st‑century medical education.
