Registered Dietitian
Kaiser
San Jose, California, United States
I am a dedicated nutritionist and dietitian with over seven years of professional experience in promoting health through personalized nutrition education and counseling. With a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition from Karnataka State University, a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Oregon State University, and an internship from the University of California, San Bernardino, I bring a diverse and international perspective to my practice.
My expertise spans clinical, community, and outpatient settings, where I have helped individuals make informed dietary choices to improve their overall health and well-being. As a co-author of Food Nutrition & Technology, I am committed to advancing knowledge in the field and empowering others to harness the transformative power of food. I specialize in evidence-based strategies to manage conditions such as pre-diabetes, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, liver and kidney diseases, pregnancy, weight management, heart health, and more.
Currently, I serve on the team at Kaiser Permanente, providing outpatient nutrition education and contributing to pediatric lifestyle medicine programs. These initiatives focus on fostering healthy habits in children, setting them on a path toward lifelong wellness. I also organize and lead health fairs to reach diverse populations. My prior roles at esteemed organizations like Good Samaritan Hospital, El Camino Health, and various hospitals in India have enriched my perspective and honed my skills.
Certified as a CDCES and ACLM professional, I aim to empower individuals to make sustainable, health-focused choices, guiding them toward managing chronic conditions and embracing preventive care with personalized, evidence-based approaches.
