Registered Dietitian
Kaiser
San Jose, California, United States
I am a dedicated nutritionist and dietitian with over eight years of experience in promoting health and wellness through personalized nutrition counseling and education. With a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition from Karnataka State University, a Bachelor's in Dietetics from Oregon State University, and clinical training from the University of California, San Bernardino, I bring a rich, international perspective to my practice.
My career spans clinical, outpatient, and community settings, where I’ve helped individuals make informed dietary choices to manage chronic conditions and improve overall well-being. I specialize in evidence-based nutrition strategies for managing pre-diabetes, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, liver and kidney diseases, cardiovascular health, pregnancy nutrition, and weight management.
Currently, I work as a registered dietitian at Kaiser Permanente, where I provide outpatient nutrition education and contribute to both pediatric and adult lifestyle medicine programs. I conduct nutrition classes and individual sessions aimed at building lifelong healthy habits. I also support broader outreach initiatives by participating in health fairs that serve diverse communities.
Certified as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), I am passionate about guiding individuals toward sustainable, health-focused choices through personalized, evidence-based approaches. My professional experience includes prior roles at Good Samaritan Hospital, El Camino Health, and various hospitals across India.
As a co-author of Food, Nutrition & Technology, I remain committed to advancing knowledge in the field and helping others harness the transformative power of food.
