Upon completing his training at NYU’s Winthrop University Hospital, Dr. Reddy joined the James A. Haley VA Medical Center and University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He is the director of Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the VA Medical Center and an Associate Professor at USF’s Morsani College of Medicine. He served as the Associate Program Director for Cardiovascular Fellowship from 2009-2012 and the VA site director for both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Programs from 2009-2023.      
Dr. Reddy is the founding Co-Chair of two Member Interest Groups (VA/DoD and Cardiology) under ACLM. Among many firsts, he is the first interventional cardiologist to be board certified by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. The first interventional cardiologist to be recognized as the Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. The only interventional cardiologist currently recognized as a Lifestyle Medicine Intensivist. He served two terms on ACLM’s executive board as the Treasurer. He currently serves on many committees and work groups for ACLM, American College of Cardiology, and the American Society of Preventive Cardiology.
Dr. Reddy established a cardiology-centered Lifestyle Medicine shared medical appointments program at the VA Medical Center in Tampa and a Lifestyle Medicine Core Curriculum for Cardiovascular Fellowship at the University of South Florida. Both are first of their kind in the nation. He has won many teaching awards, including the VA’s Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence. He published numerous peer reviewed papers on Lifestyle Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and has spoken at multiple prestigious national and international venues.
