Carrie Jaworski, MD, FAAFP, FACSM

Dr. Carrie Jaworski is a board-certified Family & Sports Medicine physician at Intermountain Health Park City where she serves as the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and Associate Director of Sports Performance. She is also the President-Elect for the American College of Sports Medicine, taking on the role of President in June of 2025. Her Presidential Initiative will be “Movement for All: Moving Together to Move Forward” where she aims to partner with likeminded organizations to promote movement across everyone’s lifespan for improved physical and mental health.

With nearly 25 years in practice, Dr. Jaworski has had countless experiences in leadership and the care of athletes at all levels throughout her career. She currently is the Medical Director for the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation and has been their Medical Director for both the FIS Para Nordic World Cup and the International Biathlon Union World Cup. She has previously served as the Head Team Physician for Northwestern University Athletics where she was their Director of Intercollegiate Sports Medicine. She has covered the Ironman World Championships in Kona and served as a lead physician for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for several decades. Dr. Jaworski had the honor of being a physician at the Salt Lake Olympics in 2002, was part of the USOPC Sports Medicine team for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 and served as a Head Team Physician for Team USA at the Paris Paralympic Games in 2024. She will serve as a Team USA Head Team Physician again in 2026 for the Milan-Cortina Olympic games.

Dr. Jaworski is frequently an invited speaker on the national and international level and has published numerous book chapters and articles pertaining to sports & exercise medicine. Her clinical and research interests include endurance medicine, concussions, the pediatric and female athlete population, dance medicine and the promotion of "Exercise is Medicine".

In her spare time, Dr. Jaworski enjoys all things outdoors; particularly running, hiking, and Nordic skiing.
