Joe Sage blends his expertise in lifestyle medicine and transformational coaching with his experience building high functioning teams to train physicians in well-being. He empowers people and teams to thrive by sharing his honesty and perspective while creating space for them to realize their agency, to build their culture and to link knowledge with action. They develop the habits that let them be authentic to themselves and present for themselves, their family and their communities.
Joe currently serves as Secretary of the Happiness Science Members Interest Group at ACLM, where he strives to translate the science of positive psychology into thriving careers and lives. He also provides confidential physician burnout mitigation and prevention services to physicians through the Lane County Medical Society Physician Wellness Program and internationally. For the past several years, he has consulted with hospital-based teams to change their culture so they achieve their goals while protecting members' well-being. By mid-2025 he plans to complete certification as a business consultant through the Via Institute on Character's strength-based (positive psychology) Workplaces at the Best program.
