Dr. Christine Gibson is a family physician, trauma therapist, and author of The Modern Trauma Toolkit. You can find her online on TikTok with the handle TiktokTraumaDoc with >130k followers, a blossoming YouTube channel, along with her two TEDx talks. Dr. Gibson has a passion for health equity and systems change. She runs an international non-profit called the Global Familymed Foundation and a company where she trains professionals on how to manage workplace psychological safety - Safer Spaces Training (and The Belong Foundation). Her words and work have been featured in multiple outlets including Oprah Daily, Forbes, Real Simple, Prevention, and the Washington Post.
Her training includes a Masters in Medical Education, a Doctorate in Transdisciplinary Studies, and Certification in Lifestyle Medicine. She loves to integrate and innovate across fields of practice. Areas of interest include somatic and psychosensory treatments for trauma, climate psychology, addiction medicine, refugee health, and international consulting. She is an avid keynote speaker, travelling as far as South Korea, Tunisia, and Uganda for various talks. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Calgary. She can be found galavanting in the nearby mountains with her dog Fife.
