Dr. Steve Rissman is a full professor and founding member of the Integrative Health program in the Department of Health Professions at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Dr. Rissman is a men’s health scholar who has developed the only Men’s Health academic program in the nation. He teaches Men's Health, Men Across Cultures, Anger in Men, Fathers and Health, and Aging Warriors. He is also the lead teacher for Clinical Pathophysiology, which he has taught for nearly 20 years. Dr. Rissman has a private practice working specifically with men and boys. He has studied, taught, and worked in the field of men’s health for over twenty years, and has committed his naturopathic medical practice to improving the lives of men and boys by working with those suffering from anxiety, anger issues, lack of motivation, and many physical health issues. Dr. Rissman has a deeply rooted curiosity for the laws of nature, particularly the science of disease process. He has an extraordinary ability to elicit the story of one’s unique dis-ease process and to perceive what needs to be cured in each individual man/boy, using therapeutic methods intended to help lead men on the journey through the abyss of illness.
