Dr. John Vozenilek, MD, is a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine and Lifestyle
Medicine with a distinguished career in healthcare innovation, simulation and novel medical
education modalities, clinical informatics and patient-centered care. He holds academic
appointments as Professor in Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria
(UICOMP), where he serves as the Course Director for the EquiMED program, and in
BioEngineering at the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). As a member of the Board of Directors at Distillery Labs, Dr.
Vozenilek leverages his expertise to advance community-driven health and innovation
initiatives. His leadership focuses on fostering multidisciplinary collaborations and developing
solutions to address health inequities, while his dedication to integrating lifestyle medicine
